Migueletes hotel
Situated in the lower part of the Albayzín, right beneath the Alhambra and next to the major monuments of the city, the hotel offers a privileged place from which to enjoy the history and magic of Andalucia.

Migueletes hotel
The Los Migueletes Hotel is housed in a 17th century mansion. The property’s name derives from the fact that it served as the headquarters of the local rural police force (known as Los Migueletes for the weapons they carried) throughout most of the 1800s. The graceful public areas include a courtyard with a fountain splashing in it, wraparound verandas above the stone-floored Andalusian patio and a vaulted white-brick cellar with sophisticated Scandinavian touches, where breakfast is served. The hotel boasts a total of 25 double guestrooms including 2 suites and a room adapted for handicapped guests. Every room is different in terms of size and layout, as well as regards views: some face the inner patio while others look out on the Alhambra, which is especially dramatic when floodlit at night. None the less, all are beautifully appointed, with excellent beds, flagstone or tile-covered floors and exposed roof beams.

You'll need a good map to help you find it, and getting a car anywhere near it is a nightmare, but once there it is an excellent location for seeing Granada. However beware. There is building work going on at the back of the hotel at the moment(April 08), so ask for a room away from it.
Top Tip
The hotel supplied a list of recomended restaurants. We tried a couple during our stay and they were very good.
